Wakes winning run comes to an end

Bourne Town’s six-match unbeaten run was ended as Lutterworth Athletic picked up a first win in five to give a boost to their promotion prospects.

The Wakes lost 2-0 in the UCL Division One on Saturday after conceding two goals after the break.

Jared Pickering opened the scoring for Lutterworth after 68 minutes and the home win was sealed by Harvey Morgan seven minutes from the end.

Bourne: Fagan, Elger, Wilson, Moss, Jesson, Smith, Placis, Rook, Hales (Mason), Williams (Sculthorpe), De Sousa (Bull).

On Saturday the Wakes are at home to Woodford United.
