Keeping up the family spirit was the Francis sisters, Nikki and Michaela, who returned home with three bronze medals while Kieran Fowler took gold in sparring.

Delighted instructor Murcott said: "We arrived home from the European Championships in Croatia on Wednesday and were then back training on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

"We travelled to Wales on Saturday afternoon, then competed on Sunday and were back training on Monday night.

"That's how they do so well, there is no substitute for training as these guys prove.

"They all work so hard to achieve their goals and we are very proud of them."
