A celebration of John Clare

Peterborough Arts Cinema will be screening By Our Selves, a film which retraces the peasant poet John Clare’s 1841 journey on foot from Epping Forest back home to Helpston.

The evening will also feature a series of readings about the poet’s life and work by former and current poet laureates of Peterborough; Keely Mills, Pete Cox, Charley Genever and Toby Wood.

The event takes place at 7.30pm on Thursday, February 11, at the John Clare Theatre, Central Library, Broadway, Peterborough.

Ticket prices are £4 (members), £5 (concessions) and £6 (standard).

Each week Peterborough Arts Cinema screens recently released films from the UK and around the world, many of which will have had a limited initial release.

Details of forthcoming screenings can be found at www.peterboroughartscinema.co.uk.
