A Handful of Harmonies is set to raise the roof with its soulful sounds at Stamford Arts Centre this weekend, in aid of a worthy cause.

The talented choir, made up of women from across the area aged between 16-years-old to 70+, will perform a fundraising concert this Saturday for the Mustard Seed Project, a small UK charity working in Africa in a slum area of Mombasa, Kenya.

The money raised from the concert will go towards helping and teaching those in poverty to gain education skills and confidence, in order to overcome their ordeals.

The concert, led by musical director, Andrew Clingo will feature an evening of choral entertainment, including a performance of ‘The Circle Of Life’ from The Lion King in a six-part harmony arrangement taken from the Disney Musical of the same name.

Tickets for the event are priced at £7.50 (£6 concessions). The performance will take place at 7.30pm.

To book your tickets now, please visit the Stamford Arts Centre website or telephone the box office on 01780 763203.
