Vikings are set to invade Bourne this weekend as part of the annual Bourne Lions Family Fun Day.

The popular event is being being held on Sunday at Bourne Recreation Ground, from 11am until 5pm.

A Viking re-enactment group and living history display will entertain visitors young and old, as they transform the Recreation Ground into a Viking battle field with characters in full dress parading the field.

Other attractions will include a special flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, a junior football competition, an exciting dog show, plenty of amusements, craft and charity stalls, entertaining arena displays and a car boot sale.

There will also be a licensed bar on site and other refreshments and hot and cold food will be available to purchase.
