All set for Kirkby Underwood summer fair
Kirkby Underwood’s annual summer fair will take place this weekend.
Spread between the Manor House field and the village hall, the event will run from 11am to 4pm on Saturday. It will feature vintage vehicles, a bouncy castle, god show, games and stalls and much more.
There will also be a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Dakota.
Treasurer Katrine Hudson said: “On the Manor House field will be a static display of vintage tractors as well as various cars and motorcycles as well as a bouncy castle. In addition there will be a fun dog show for any one with their dogs, pedigree or mongrel, to enter.
“Around and in the village hall will be many traditional fun games as well as those to challenge your skills, plus bottle, cake, plant and craft stalls. There will also be face painting, a tombola and a Grand Draw with a first prize of £100.
“New for this year will be an all day barbecue as well as refreshments and a licensed bar including sales of Pimms to keep people nourished all day long.”
Money raised will be split between St Mary’s Church and the village hall.
