A young dancer has been awarded a fully funded place at a full time performing arts college.
Bourne to Dance student Nicki Sleeman, 16, auditioned in February at Stage Works Performing Arts, for a place on their two-year course, which admits only 15 students a year.
Nicki was one of just two dancers to be offered a scholarship, which covers the entire cost of the course, and she is delighted to have the chance to train full time at the college.
Nicki has danced since the age of six with Bourne to Dance, and has always dreamed of a professional dance career.
Her dance teachers Denise Delieu and Dominique Lowe said they would like to wish Nicki all the best in her new venture, and said she will be missed by all at the school, especially the younger students, who have enjoyed having Nicki as an assistant teacher in their lessons.
Nicki will be performing for the last time with Bourne to Dance a their showcase performance on May 25 at Bourne Academy.
