Band to perform at Remembrance concert

The ever popular Rutland Concert Band will be returning with its ‘Lest we Forget’ Remembrance Concert on Saturday in All Saints’ Church Oakham.

At this year’s concert there will be new items, with Bring Him Home from Les Miserables played as a concert piece.

The guest performance by the Rutland Choral Society will include the haunting Adiemus from Songs of Sanctuary by Karl Jenkins and a melodious version of Auld Lang Syne.

Ladies from the Royal British Legion Oakham branch will be serving tea and coffee during the interval. Admission is free and a retiring collection will be in aid of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm and parking is free after 6pm.

Further details from Music and More in Oakham High Street.
