A POPULAR coffee morning will be held in aid of a leukaemia charity on Thursday.
Dr Michael and Margaret McGregor organise the annual coffee morning in aid of the Bourne and Spalding branch of the Leukaemia Research Fund.
It will take place between 10am and 1pm in the Corn Exchange, where there will be a range of stalls selling homemade cakes and jams, preserves, Christmas gifts, toys and games, books and knitted goods.
There will also be a raffle and a tombola.
Admission is £1, which includes a cup of tea or coffee and a mince pie.
The couple set up the coffee morning in 1983 when their son John was diagnosed with the disease. John died in 1985, aged 21.
The coffee morning is now the branch’s single biggest fundraiser and over the years, the couple have raised more than £70,000.
l Dr McGregor will present a slide show and quiz about Bourne, at the Conservative Club in Bourne, tonight, at 7.30pm .
Admission is £5 per person, including refreshments.
Take your own drink and glasses.
