This Bank Holiday weekend the popular Uffington Scarecrow Festival returns, with the chance to win some great prizes by finding all the fabulous scarecrows hidden around the village.

This year’s theme ‘All Around the World’ will feature a quiz trail with prizes, along with plenty of the usual attractions and entertainment.

Running on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, from 11am to 4pm, there will be all the fun of the scarecrows, along with a classic cars display, bouncy castle, historic fly-past, farm machinery, games, play bus, music, pets, ponies, face painting, numerous stalls and crafts, welly wanging, retro bus rides and much, much more.

There will also be plenty of refreshments available on the day, including a barbecue and ice cream - fingers crossed for sunshine.

On the Sunday there will be a special performance by Wildcats Theatre School from midday and on the Monday, Rutland Morris will be entertaining the crowds from 2.30pm.

There will also be a car boot sale on the Sunday.

Admission to the event is £5 per car, £2.50 no car - price including quiz sheets and a Scarecrows programme and map.

This event is buggy/ wheelchair friendly and is open to all ages.

All proceeds raised from the event will go to village charities.
