The Deepings Community Library hosted a celebration of Shakespeare for young people on the anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth on Saturday.

An enthusiastic group of children and their adults joined presenter Lorraine Watkins for a morning of activities, puppets, stories and fun centred around Shakespeare’s drama.

Library coordinator Louisa Crowson, said: “Shakespeare went fabulously; the library was really busy and buzzing!”

As well as the birthday event, Deeping Library has a range of books for children of Shakespeare’s plays and about his life for readers to borrow throughout May.
