A former Battle of Britain Memorial Flight display pilot will speak at the next Bourne Motor Racing Club meeting.

Flight Lietenant Mike Leckey is the special guest at the meeting, which will take place at Bourne Corn Exchange from 8pm on Thursday.

A club spokesman said: “In our traditional break from all things motoring, we turn our attention to the skies when Mike will draw on his nine years experience with the Memorial Flight to deliver his illustrated talk entitled Flying the Lancaster.

“Local man Mike is also a keen classic car enthusiast, so will find himself in good company at the club, as he tells what it is really like to pilot the iconic Avro Lancaster Bomber that can so often be seen gracing the skies above Bourne as it makes its way home to RAF Coningsby.”

Non members are welcome to attend at a cost of £3. Visit www.bournemotorclub.co.uk.
