Rutland news

Local people are being encouraged to get out and about and explore Rutland on foot as part of the county’s annual Walking Festival.

The Rutland Walking Festival is now in its sixth year and celebrates the many fantastic opportunities in Rutland for residents and visitors to get active through walking.

The Walking Festival begins with a special launch event at Ketton Sports and Community Centre on Sunday at 10.30am featuring a number of activities.

The festival itself will run until May 23, culminating with a series of walks that make up a popular 65-mile route known as the Rutland Round.
