Family fun day in Stamford to help Happy Days Children’s Charity UK

A family fun day will take place in Stamford next week to raise money for a charity which organises day trips for terminally ill, sick and disabled children.

Organised by a group of 15 teenagers who are currently taking part in a National Citizen Service programme over the summer holidays, it will take place at the Borderville Sports Complex, in Ryhall Road, on Wednesday, between 10am and 2pm.

There will be facepainting, a barbecue, beat the goalie competition and many stalls. Proceeds will go to Happy Days Children’s Charity UK.

Co-organiser Catherine Waites, 16, said: “We hope lots of people will come.”
