Food and Drink: Treat yourself to ‘lunch for even less’ at top restaurants

By Kim Morrison

Hambleton Hall.
Hambleton Hall.

If you are still looking for a New Year’s Resolution, this might help - treat yourself to lunch at a top restaurant in Rutland.

The annual Lunch for Even Less promotion is back offering two-course lunches from as little as £12.95.

Taking part this year are the excellent - and due another visit from me - Olive Branch at Clipsham and its sister restaurant the equally highly regarded Red Led LionInn at Stathern.

Then there is my current favourite The Wicked Witch at Ryhall (which is running the promotion until the end of March with two courses £14.95 and three courses £17.95).

There is also The Marquess of Exeter, at Lyddington; Langar Hall, at Langar; The Wheatsheaf, at Greetham - not to mention the Michelin starred Hambleton Hall at Oakham.

At Hambleton Hall – which has proudly held a Michelin star for longer than any other UK establishment – you will be able to enjoy a three-course Michelin starred meal for just £32.50 or two courses for just £26.

Chef Aaron Patterson has been at the helm of Hambleton for over two decades, serving up brilliantly assured dishes that have won acclaim from the country’s leading food critics.

The offer is available at Hambleton Hall from January 18 until February 26, excluding Saturdays. Call Hambleton Hall to reserve your table, quoting the Lunch for Even Less promotion. For more visit www.hambletonhall.com.
