Free Music at Lunchtime recitals by Oakham School musicians set to return

Oakham School has announced the return of live music with an array of concerts planned for both the school and the wider community.

The weekly Music at Lunchtime recitals at 1.30pm provide a musical interlude on Wednesdays during term time. Each week sees different musicians perform in All Saints’ Church.

On June 9 Bethany Davis soprano will be performing music by Britten and Rachmaninov. June 16 sees Rupert Fell performing Liszt on the piano, whilst June 23 showcases two more talented pianists, Jan Seelig and Obi Osuji. The series culminates with the school’s Chamber Choir who will be singing selections from Finzi Poems of Robert Bridges, Stanford The blue bird and Vaughan Williams Lord, thou hast been our refuge.

Looking beyond the Summer holidays, a much fuller programme of performances will resume from September, with details appearing in the school’s arts calendar which can be viewed online at https://bit.ly/oakhamartscalendar
