A PACKED programme of events and entertainment will take place in Corby Glen from today until Monday.
Corby Glen Sheep Fair will open with Dorman’s Traditional Funfair on the village green tonight and an exhibition and social evening by Corby Glen Local History Society in the Willoughby Memorial Gallery.
Tomorrow there will entertainment for all ages including family sports and craft events at Charles Read Academy; an art exhibition at the Methodist Chapel and a mini beer festival at The Fighting Cocks.
On Sunday visitors can take part in a Clay Pigeon Shoot at Tanner’s Lane and a fun run from the Market Place. The entertainment continues in the Market Place and around the village with Feet First Children’s Entertainer; Bourne Borderers - morris dancers; Spalding Folk Band; Frog on a Bike – traditional ceilidh band and Sambando Samba Band. There will also be children’s games; Corby Glen Community Primary School singers; The Dance Academy; Corby market and food; crafts; birds of prey; vintage vehicles; tug of war and a harvest festival.
The packed programme of events concludes on Monday with possibly the oldest sheep auction in the country which will be take place at Tanner’s Lane.
