Funeral For A Friend to perform at The Met Lounge
Welsh rock band, Funeral For A Friend will be set to rock the stage at The Met Lounge in Peterborough on May 29 as part of their UK headline tour.
One of the last remaining bastions of the British hardcore scene that exploded into the mainstream at the turn of the century, Funeral For A Friend have been hailed as the saviours of rock music and fourteen years on the band still packs as much punch and purpose as they started with, if not more.
The band have recently released their new album ‘Chapter and Verse’ through Distiller Records. The first track, You’ve Got a Bad Case of The Religions which was premiered on Daniel P Carter’s BBC Radio 1 Rock Show will be one of many new hit records the band will play during their live shows.
Already well into their headline tour, the band has been rocking out across the UK including in Norwich, Cambridge, Nottingham, Dundee, Aberdeen and York, to name but a few.
The new album, recorded in two weeks, is set to make waves with its gruff attitude and melodic choruses, but it all happens to be one of the most sonically diverse records the band has ever made.
A self-assured and cohesive step on from 2013’s Conduit, Chapter and Verse is one of the most hard-hitting albums in Funeral For A Friend’s catalogue. It has been described as raw and energetic, propelling the band to a whole new level, whilst simultaneously raising the bar for everyone else.
