Grand book sale will raise vital funds for library group

A book sale will be held at Deeping Community Library.

The sale has been made possible thanks to donations of books from supporters and users of the library, which was taken over by community group The Friends of Deeping Library earlier this year.

The sale will be held on Saturday, April 30, from 10am, and proceeds will go towards the Friends’ events and activites.

Keen bookworms can bag a bundle of great fiction and non-fiction bargains and support the work of The Friends of Deeping Library at the same time.

Chairman of the Friends Liz Waterland said: “Thanks to the generosity of our local community, we are offering the chance to buy really lovely books, in great condition for great prices.

“All the proceeds will go towards our children’s activities and to help with our plans for up and coming events. We have both adult and children’s books and they are priced at £1 each for hardbacks and paperbacks will be three for £1.

“We invite all keen readers to come along, browse and buy for this very good cause.”
