On June 15, Dr Sarah Furness, High Sheriff of Rutland will be co-hosting the annual reception of The Friends of Rutland Sailability at Barnsdale Lodge Hotel.

Rutland Sailability provides opportunities for people with disabilities to sail on Rutland Water and The Friends help to raise funds and spread the word to encourage disabled people to try sailing.

The reception starts at 6.30pm with drinks and canapes, followed by short presentations by disabled sailors – talking about their experience and the benefits they gain from sailing on Rutland Water.

Tickets are £15 each and can be obtained from Jim Fleming on 01780 756300 or e-mail flemingjandb@msn.com, or Terry Connolly on 01572 812902.
