Line-up for Stamford Music Festival announced
Music is back on Stamford Town Meadows – and the bill for the Stamford Music Festival is taking shape.
Organised by the Market Square Group, the festival is being held on the Meadows from Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17.
Early bird tickets for the event, priced at £3 for Friday, £5 for Saturday, £3 for Sunday and £8 for the full weekend are on sale online until Tuesday, May 31.
The Friday night will have a jazz ‘n’ blues feel and will be rounded off by the Howard Rose Band. Howard found fame on BBC One’s The Voice and singer Howard was born in West Deeping.
Saturday early afternoon will be a showcase for new artists and folk music, and later on the tempo will step up a notch with hi-octane performances from local staples The Gangsters and One Eyed Cats.
Sunday will feature a more classical style in the afternoon, with Stamford favourites Tin Pigeons rounding off the weekend.
Other acts on the line up include Saturday headliners Little Mammoths, who feature a former member of rock band Noah and the Whale. They will be joined over the weekend by Bianca and the Top Cats, Frumenty, Pembroke Tenneson,
guitarist Steve Bean, harpist Henrietta Smith, mezzo soprano Leilani Barratt, Michael Keithson and the Mark Hill Jazz Quartet.
