Gardens in Barrowden, Uppingham and Greetham to open to raise funds
Beautiful gardens in Rutland will be opening throughout June and promise to delight all green-fingered visitors.
Tomorrow night (Friday, June 4), Redhill Lodge in Barrowden will open from 6pm to 9pm.
At this contemporary garden visitors can enjoy formal lawns, a grass amphitheatre, turf viewing mound, herbaceous borders and a rose garden.
The garden has recently featured in several magazines including Gardens Illustrated November 2019 and House and Garden in February 2021.
Tickets are £8 (children free) and can be pre-booked online. Cash payments are also possible on the day.
Wine, Pimms and refreshments will be available to visitors with all proceeds going to the National Garden Scheme.

Then on Sunday (June 6), from 1pm to 5pm, three gardens will open in Uppingham.
The Orchard and Robin Hill (opening for the first time) are side by side with south facing gardens full of interesting trees, shrubs, bulbs and perennials with lovely views to sheep pastures beyond.
Hillside is a one acre garden with terraces, patio and new rose planting, woodland walk and spring fed pond.
Tickets are £5 (children free) and can be pre-booked online. Cash payments are also possible on the day.
Homemade teas will be available to visitors, served in the Market Place, again with proceeds going to the National Garden Scheme, which helps nursing and healthcare charities.

Next weekend, on Sunday, June 13, 11 gardens will open in the village of Greetham, from 1pm to 5pm.
Tickets and parking will be at the Greetham Community Centre where will also be tea and cakes and a plant stall. Entrance for adults is £5 and accompanied children are free.
All proceeds go to the Greetham church fund.
