Orchard House in Hambleton open for National Gardens Scheme
A beautifully situated garden, partly bordering Rutland Water is open to the public on Sunday (July 3).
Come and visit the Orchard House in Hambleton and enjoy a series of garden rooms including formal, Japanese and vegetable gardens; newly planted orchard and large informal garden with Rose pergola and copses.
The garden is open from 2pm until 5pm. Admission is £3.50 with children free.
The National Gardens Scheme raises millions of pounds for charity each year, as visitors pay a very reasonable fee to enjoy a visit to private gardens up and down the country.
Hundreds of garden owners spend many hours preparing their gardens for the special visiting days, and all in a very good cause.
Help the Hospices and Macmillan Cancer Support are just two of the charities that have received millions of pounds from the NGS, helping them to carry out their vital work.
