Packed entertainment at Rutland Festival starting June 17

RUTLAND Festival Fortnight will launch at Oakham Castle tonight with Rick Wilson jazz trio at 6.30pm in Oakham Castle followed by Corby Male Voice Choir at 7.45pm in St Joseph’s Church.

Incorporating Oakham Festival, Uppingham Feast and The Four Winds Festival at Rutland Water, the packed two-week programme includes ticketed events such as Ivan Linford, Rutland Concert Band, Unusual Suspects, Funk Soul Brother, Global Harmony and Swing ‘n’ Sinatra and a sing-along late night film showing of Mamma Mia at Oakham Castle. There will be free events at various venues; street performers and entertainers; live music; food and drink.

Uppingham Feast Day will be held in the Market Place on Sunday from midday to 10pm and The Funky Tent will be at Oakham Castle on July 2 and 3.
