A post-referendum picnic is being held on Saturday to celebrate the diversity of the population in Stamford.

Organised by Amelia Billington, who has lived in the town since 2001, the Stamford Together Picnic will take place on Saturday between 4pm and 5pm on the Meadows.

All are welcome to attend.

Some snacks will be provided but participants are asked to bring their own food and drink.

Amelia said: “This is a non-political event intended to help town heal its wounds and come together following the EU referendum.”
