Service of commemoration at St Thomas of Canterbury Church

A special service will be held at St Thomas of Canterbury Church in Greatford this Sunday.

The Archdeacon of Boston, The Venerable Dr Justine Allain Chapman will dedicate a new stained glass window, commemorating the life of Thomas Becket at a dedication service at 10.30am.

The Becket window combines modern and ancient elements and is the result of a generous benefaction.

Helen Whittaker of the nationally renowned Barley Studio of York, who designed and made the window, will be giving a talk at the special service.

Greatford church is dedicated to St Thomas of Canterbury.

Thomas Becket was the Archbishop of Canterbury from 1162, until his murder in 1170.
