A choir is holding an open workshop for potential new members following a successful 2015.

Peterborough Take Note Community Choir was set up by two couples who wanted to give anyone the opportunity to sing.

Last year a new musical director, James Dixon, helped lead the choir at a number of public events, including the popular Christmas concert.

The group hopes to bring in even more singers in 2016, and will hold a “showstoppers” workshop at the Voyager Academy in Peterborough tomorrow.

The session will include popular numbers from West Side Story and Les Misérables to lesser-known songs from 42nd Street. Through warm up games, rounds, and songs in several part harmonies, the session offers singers the chance to make music and explore a range of different songs.
