Lyddington’s village fete will take place this Saturday at 2pm on the village green.

The popular event will feature a special fly past of three planes from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (weather permitting).

There will be the usual stalls, including bric-a-brac, toys, plants, nearly-new clothes, books and much more.

To add to the idyllic setting folk can relax and enjoy the tea tent, where there will be homemade cakes and Pimms on sale. There will also be a barbecue on the green, and the Gretton Silver Band will be performing on the day.

English Heritage have also allowed free access to the Bedehouse for the afternoon.
