An event showcasing the region’s best breads, wines, cheese, beers and other goods attracted hundreds of people to Stamford at the weekend.

The Stamford Food and Drink Festival took place on The Meadows from Friday to Sunday.

Paul Kennedy, director of event organiser Market Square Group, said: “We wanted to provide a celebration of food and drink with local producers at the heart of it, all while offering a place for people to relax with family and friends and listen to some live music.

“We are happy to have laid the foundations in our inaugural year and hope to return with a greater offer in 2017.”
