Fans of comedy, music, drama and dance are in for a treat during the coming theatre season.

Stamford Corn Exchange will host a series of familiar and new acts this year.

The season starts tonight (Friday) with Take That tribute act Re-Take That. February will feature more top quality tribute acts, including Marty Wilde and the Wilde Cats, ZZ Tops and Bootleg Abba.

Newcomers during the year include the Little Mermaid Ballet from Balletheatre UK, in March, and Madness frontman Suggs, who will present his My Life Story show in April.

There will be a lot more drama and a touch of comedy in this year’s programme as the theatre welcomes the BBC Touring Company production of Open All Hours, in March, and The Tommy Cooper Story, in May.

A new drama group has been set up within the theatre and in April the Corn Exchange Theatre Players will present a comic adaptation of Up Pompeii!

Stamford Amateur Musical Society will perform Singin’ In The Rain in June and there are a wealth of other shows to enjoy through the year.
