A FAST-paced and witty production of The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists will be performed in Braceborough Village Hall tomorrow.
Hot from the Edinburgh Fringe, the new two-handed version of Stephen Lowe’s play is based on Tressell’s classic book, directed by Louise Townsend and features Neil Gore, whose family live in Oundle and Fine Time Fontayne, from Stamford.
The play tells the story of a group of decorators who are joined by Owen, an artist and journeyman-prophet with a vision of a just society.
Owen’s spirited attacks on the greed and dishonesty of the capitalist system attempts to rouse his fellow men from their complacency.
Tickets are £9 for adults £9 and £7 for children from James Williams - 01778 560417.
The performance starts at 8pm and a bar will be available.
