A FORMER West End performer is leading the cast of the annual helping of music and dance from Rutland Musical Theatre.
The company is in the final throes of rehearsals for their latest production Footloose.
The cast features a strong mix of seasoned, new and younger members with Melton’s George Tebbutt making his debut in the leading role of Ren McCormack.
He appeared in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium as a child.
The show is the most modern show the company has presented in its history, but all the traditional values of strong singing, acting and dancing that Rutland Musical Theatre’s audiences have come to expect over the years are maintained. The show features well-known songs such as Holding Out For A Hero, Let’s Hear It For The Boy and of course the exuberant dance number itself, Footloose.
Performances are at Uppingham Theatre from Monday, April 2 to Saturday, April 7 at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
Tickets are priced £12 to £15 and available from Freeway Travel in High Street East, Uppingham, or by calling 01572 822702.
