SOPRANO and music tutor Caroline Trutz from Uppingham plays the lead role in Peterborough Opera’s production of The Merry Widow at Stamford Corn Exchange tonight and tomorrow. The story centres around a wealthy widow, Anna Glawari who meets important men from a bankrupt country. The government wants her to marry one of them to bring her fortune to that country...but she might have other ideas. This tuneful opera will appeal to opera fans and newcomers alike.

The production director is James-Lee Campbell from Peterborough and the musical director is Marc Murray.
