Tradition of burlesque at The Broadway

Have your say

A BRAND new theatre production that recreates the tradition of Burlesque will be at The Broadway in Peterborough on Friday, February 18, at 8pm as part of a UK tour.

Chrys Columbine, the leading lady in the show An Evening of Burlesque, is a classically trained pianist who performs Chopin’s Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor like you’ve never seen it before.

Addressing the piano dressed in a dark emerald-green costume she rises to take a bow at the climax of the piece wearing considerably less than she began with. Chrys is the only artiste who combine the art of burlesque with classical piano and she has performed throughout the world.
