Young actors have been perfecting their lines ahead of their latest performance.

Members of the Hurst Children’s Theatre Group, based in Bourne, will perform Jack and the Beanstalk at the South Holland Centre in Spalding on January 16 and 17.

The group, made up of children aged four to 16, have been rehearsing hard in preparation for the performance. The title role is being played by 13-year-old Eleanor Waldock, who has a two-headed giant to defeat whilst also up against his evil henchman Grim, played by 14-year-old Ally Milne. Other characters include Jack’s love interest Jill, idiot bailiffs, Simple Simon and a ghost.

The pantomime was written by Mike Hurst and as always will involve bad jokes and plenty of songs.

Tickets for the show are on sale now for £8.50, or £6.50 for concessions. To book, call the South Holland Centre box office on 01775 764777. Find out more about the theatre group at http://hctgb.co.uk/.
