Lecture will bring cult classic to life - September 6

THE annual lecture by Dr Jane Mackay, in support of the summer productions at Tolethorpe, will take place at Stamford Arts Centre on Tuesday.

Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is one of the best-loved novels ever written.

Dr Mackay will examine the expertise that leads to the magic, and explore what makes it so special.

Literature at lunchtime starts at 12.30pm.

Tickets are £5.50 (£5).

The talk is followed at 2.30pm by the 2004 film Pride and Prejudice, which was partly filmed in Stamford.
